X-Guide Dynamic 3D Navigation System
Having recently received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the X-Guide Dynamic 3D Navigation System is poised to change the face of dental implant surgery as it exists today. Dr. Singer is proud to offer this exciting new procedure which saves time, improves accuracy and allows for same-day surgery options.
The X-Guide system elevates the capabilities of cone beam 3D imaging, which allows surgeons to plan precisely before a surgery, and put that blueprint into practice during a live procedure.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections for TMJ Disorders
Occasionally, more severe TMJ cases will not respond to traditional treatment plans. At this point, Dr. Singer may suggest injecting platelet rich plasma from the patient’s own blood supply into the surrounding tissue to speed healing.
i-CAT 3D Cone Beam
DC Smiles is proud to offer in-office imaging and the advantages it provides for both doctor and patient. i-CAT cone beam 3-D dental imaging and software has revolutionized dentistry and enables more accurate and faster dental implant surgery. Case studies have shown that the i-CAT Cone Beam 3D Imaging System, which can produce immediate three-dimensional images of oral anatomy in under 30 seconds, is better than traditional radiography at helping doctors make diagnoses. Patients presenting with chronic problems that might have gone untreated based on the results of regular x-rays have experienced relief because of a diagnosis completed with i-CAT imaging. Whats more, the 3D data produced by the i-CAT can be used for implant planning, third molar extractions, impactions, TMJ analysis, supernumeraries, airway& sinus assessments, panoramic, and cephalometrics (orthodontics).
Waterlase Dental Laser
Dr. Singer or Dr. Tami uses the FDA-approved Waterlase dental laser for fillings and some crowns, gum re contouring, biopsies, endodontics, periodontal therapy, and other surgeries. The Waterlase does not generate heat, vibration, or pressure, the primary causes of pain from a dental drill, so laser therapy is more comfortable than traditional drilling or surgery.
Using the Waterlase for gum procedures reduces bleeding, post-operative pain, swelling, and, in many cases, the need for pain medication. Drs. Singer or Tami can remove tooth decay, as well as infected or compromised bone and gum tissue, while leaving surrounding areas unaffected.
In order to properly treat and manage TMJ disorders, physicians must first diagnose the condition. To do this, DC Smiles‘s Drs. Singer or Tami uses cutting-edge, state of the art ultrasound technology. Because it is more cost-effective and accessible than traditional Magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI) technology, employing ultrasonography allows Dr. Singer to visualize, diagnose and subsequently treat TMJ disorders quickly and easily, providing our patients with immediate action.
Millennium Laser Therapy
Cold laser therapy treats joint and muscle inflammation by using light therapy to stimulate the healing of facial muscles and tissue. During therapy, the light hits the affected area, thereby reducing inflammation and enhancing production of more red blood cells in the area and enhancing the speed and quality of tissue repair. Cold laser therapy has proven effective in providing both temporary and long-term relief of pain and discomfort associated with TMJ.
Despite the name of this treatment, cold laser therapy does not involve a freezing laser beam-or any temperature change, in fact. Cold lasers cause no fluctuation in body tissue temperature. Cold laser therapy is non-invasive, pain-free, highly effective and most importantly safe. Cold laser therapy meets all standards and requirements set forth by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
