Meet Dr. Singer
Dr. Singer earned a bachelor of science in Human Development from Vanderbilt University and his doctor of medical dentistry degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, one of eight Ivy League Universities.
Dr. Singer holds the title of Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the George Washington University Hospital. His work at the hospital includes treating facial trauma patients who have broken their jaws and teeth, treating medically compromised patients under general anesthesia in the OR, and providing emergency dental care to patients admitted to the hospital. Dr. Singer works very closely with members of the Department of Otolaryngology (ENT: ear, nose and throat).
In addition to delivering care at his private practice, Dr. Singer served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, instructing doctoral candidates in all aspects of restorative dentistry. He has prepared articles on oral healthcare economics for the Swedish Government at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
Community involvement is very important to Dr. Singer, who participates in initiatives designed to educate. The Senior Advantage Program at George Washington University provides free and discounted services to adults aged 65 and older in an effort to enhance well-being. For many years, Dr. Singer delivered a lecture that revolved around the latest methods and technology in dental implant treatment. Because implants lend oral health benefits not seen with other tooth replacement methods, Dr. Singer understands the importance they play for older adults with tooth loss and dedicates his time to helping to inform patients of the latest treatment options.
I love learning, I love challenges, and this naturally pushes me to continually raise the bar. With full privileges at George Washington University Hospital, I experience all facets of medicine; every experience is a learning experience that makes my patients care that much more complete and better.
Cosmetic dentistry is a strong focus for Dr. Singer and he has invested hundreds of hours in education in this complex area of dentistry. Dr. Singer is the Official Cosmetic Dentist for the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders and has been since 2000. Many of these beautiful celebrities may be seen in the Smile Gallery. The Miss DC Pageant regularly consults with Dr. Singer regarding treatment options to broaden, brighten and beautify their candidates smiles. Candace Allen underwent a Smile Makeover in 2006 and was one of the top 10 finalists in the Ms. USA Pageant.
