At the time of
her consultation, Lisa mentioned that her father had motivated
her to come in and discuss repairing her smile with a specialist.
Over the past few years she had noticed that her teeth were
shifting and gradually protruding out away from her palate making
it difficult for her to close her mouth. She was examined and
diagnosed with advanced periodontal (gum) disease, which was
aggressively treated with scaling and quadrant surgery.
Once the gum disease was arrested, the teeth were moved back
into their proper positions with clear braces after only six
months. As a result of her gum disease Linda’s teeth were
left in a very unesthetic state with a large amount of root
showing. Periodontal plastic surgery addressed the gum line
at the base of her teeth and then her upper arch was treated
with ten porcelain laminate veneers.
Since her last appointment for the insertion of her veneers
Lisa has returned for our new Waterlase MD periodontal therapy
treatment.
Lisa is very pleased with her new smile despite being required
to floss every day, wear her retainer every night and continue
with her dental visits and periodontal therapy.
