Cosmetic Dental Restoration
By restoring your smile, you can help restore self-confidence.
As quoted in "Clinical Impressions"
studies have shown that:
"appearance constitutes 55%
of our first impressions of people. In job interviews, about 75%
of the decision to hire is based on the applicant's appearance...
there is likely to be an 8-20% variation in entry-level salary based
on personal appearance...people who feel attractive tend to be more
at ease socially...than people who feel unattractive."
In the images to the right, you can see the stages of cosmetic restoration
with new materials that look just like your natural teeth and are
just as strong.
Figures 1 through 3 are show the preparation of the broken tooth.
You can see that a severe break can be repaired to an undetectable
finish.
In figures 5 through 6 you can see that layers of dentin, then opacious
layers are built up with 20-second curing times in between each
application.
Figures 7 through 8 show the completion with a fine grit polishing
tool being used to finish the new restoration.
In figures 9 through 10, you can see the final luster applied with
a superfine-grit polishing disc which achieves a beautiful natural
look in one visit.
