Dr.
Singer comes from a long line of dentists, and has always treated
the profession as an art. In addition to using the best laboratories
available, he invests tens of thousands of dollars each year to
stay abreast of the newest technologies in dentistry, so as to provide
the best care to his patients.
Educated at the University of Pennsylvania,
Dr. Singer debunks the myth of the non-existent term "Specializing
in Cosmetic
Dentistry."
"There is no such thing,"
he says. "Creating the best cosmetic effect that your smile
can achieve involves combining elements of all 7 specialities of
dentistry. " Those 7 areas are: oral surgery, orthodontics,
periodontics, pedodontics,
endodontics, oral medicine and oral radiology. "Our dental
practice is based on sound biologic, physiologic and holistic principals."
METHODOLOGY
Dr. Singer believes in the importance
of the following three steps:
Understanding the patient's concerns
Diagnosing the problem and its
one, or many, contributing causes
Comprehensively treating all the
components of the problem
All accepted new patients are given
a comprehensive exam including examinations of the hard and soft
oral tissues, the muscalature, the glands, and other dental related
parts of the head and neck, as well as an exam of the TMJ (Temporo
Mandibular Joint). If there is something wrong with the joint, Dr.
Singer will also conduct an exam to see if there is TMD (Temporo
Mandibular Disfunction).
Once we begin to treat you, if you
are having cosmetic reconstruction to your teeth, Dr. Singer only
uses the best labs for your work. There are approximately 10,000
dental labs in the United States, and only a small
handful of them meet our standards. After years of experience, Dr.
Singer has identified the highest quality labs, where the technicians
are artisans... the finest in their craft. Conversely, these labs
will only work with dentists
who meet their highest standards of the craft as well, in order
to bring you the best product possible.
IMPORTANCE OF A HOLISTIC APPROACH:
If your occlusion is contributing
to your periodontal disease because your teeth are misaligned, you
can't have a successful outcome by treating just one of the issues.
You need to have a dentist who can look at your overall
oral health and be able to treat all aspects.
YOUR MOUTH IS A PART OF YOUR OVERALL BODY.
YOUR ORAL HEALTH IS PART OF YOUR OVERALL HEALTH.
DR. SINGER'S SUCCESS EQUATION:
TOTAL HEALTH = BRIGHT SMILE = SUCCESS
As quoted in Clinical Impressions,
studies have shown that "appearance constitutes 55% of our
first impressions of people. In job interviews, about 75% of the
decision to hire is based on the applicant's appearance...there
is likely to be an 8-20% variation in entry-level salary based on
personal appearance...people who are attractive tend to be more
at ease socially... than people who feel unattractive."
