Dental Implants
Tired of slippage in your dentures? Want freedom from adhesive creams and cleaning routines? Dental implants are the most natural prosthetic teeth available and Dr. Singer can place and restore dental implants – sometimes in one visit.
Dental implants are small titanium posts inserted into the socket left behind by a missing tooth. Modern technology and imaging allows for precise implant placement. Bone tissue naturally fuses with the titanium post for solid anchorage. Dr. Singer will have our lab fabricate a natural restoration to place atop the post. In most situations, a temporary restoration can be attached the same day that the implant is placed. Dr. Singer will have our lab fabricate a restoration to place atop the post that is indistinguishable from the original tooth it replaces.
Dr. Lawrence Singer was one of the first clinicians in the region, as well as in the country, to place the ultimate in the evolution of implants: the Nobelpharma Perfect. This is the first marketed implant of a scalloped design and the only implant that perfectly mimics the scalloped shape of a natural tooth.
If your smile is missing teeth, don't settle for less than the best. Dr. Singer will assess your oral health, including gums and bone tissue, and create the best dental implant restoration plan for your needs.

Did you know?
Years of research and clinical experience have increased the expected success rate of (endosseus) dental implants by most accounts to 97% or better. In most cases, dental implants are superior to the natural teeth they replace in terms of strength, durability, and life expectancy .
SimPlant software
SimPlant software is the world's first interactive 3D Implant Planning System that allows for more accurate, safe and predictable treatment planning of dental implants.
Pre operative Planning of Implant Placement
- With Simplant there is no more guessing where to place implants. It is a precise preoperative planning software that allows us to determine, before surgery, the optimum location, angulation and depth to place an implant.
Optimal Aesthetic Results
- Ideal planning for the position of implants using 3D planning software increases the chances for integration while maximizing esthetic results.

Compatible With Every Implant Brand
SurgiGuides
- SurgiGuides are guides for drilling in the optimum locations for implant placement. SurgiGuides are compatible with any implant brand and can be supported by teeth, gum and bone. Excellent planning and the use of a SurgiGuides can prevent damage to vital structures such as nerves and arteries. It also helps to ensure the implant fixture is entirely within the bone to ensure the best prognosis for longevity.
For Use In All Scenarios
- Surgical guides eliminate uncertainty from pre surgical planning. The unique surgical guide is used to drill exactly in the preplanned implant location. SurgiGuide converts the simulated implant's exact dimensions, including width, angulation and depth to a surgical guide. During surgery, the SurgiGuide is placed on the patient’s jawbone (bone supported SurgiGuide), on the soft tissue (mucosa supported SurgiGuide) or on the teeth (tooth supported SurgiGuide). The doctor uses the guide to drill the holes for the implants and then removes it when he places the implants into the drilled holes.
Safe and Accurate Implant Placement
- The SurgiGuide drill guides are custom made for each patient for a perfect fit. SurgiGuides make every implant surgery more safe and accurate.

Dental implant FAQs:
Who is a candidate for dental implants?
A dental implant patient is anybody with reasonably good health and with adequate bone mass in the jaw, and one or more missing teeth. Controlled conditions such as type II diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, and cancer patients in remission can all be good candidate for dental implants.
How successful are dental implants?
Clinical studies show that implants have a success rate of more than 98%. Dr. Singer has used all of the major implant manufacturers including NobelBiocare, Biomet 3i, Zimmer, Astra Tech, and Straumann. Dr. Singer prefers Astra Tech made by AstraZeneca pharmaceuticals. He has realized a success rate in excess of 99% in his patients with this implant system. Good oral hygiene and regular preventive visits to DC Smiles helps ensure implant success.
Will I feel pain?
Anesthesia and sedatives will eliminate virtually all discomfort during the dental implant procedure. Prescribed medications can alleviate pain following the surgery. Most patients say the discomfort is less than that of having a tooth extracted.
How long does it take?
The entire dental implant process can be from one visit to several months longer. It depends on how quickly your bone integrates with the titanium implant post and the quality (density) of your bone. Most of Dr. Singer's patients choose to wear a temporary crown in the meantime.
